The South African Social Security Agency has been working so hard to make sure every applicant of the Covid-19 Social Relief Distress Grant R350 has been served with his /her money monthly.

But as normal as it is, some South African citizens who applied for this particular grant haven’t been approved and there are some few reasons why you could be in that situation at the moment .

The South African Social Security Agency SASSA has released a statement on their SASSA news website concerning reasons why some applicants don’t get approved whenever they apply for the Covid-19 Social Relief Distress R350 Grant.

Why Is SASSA SRD R350 Grant Declined?

The list below shows the possible reasons why you could be declined for after application.

1.Existing SASSA Grant-: This means the person who applied is already a recipient of an existing grant.

2. Alternative Income Source Identified-: This simply means the applicant has an income flowing of more than R595 per month.

3. Identity Identification Failed-: The personal information of the applicant does not match with that of the Department of home affairs.

4. Nsfas registered-: The applicant is already receiving a benefit from National Student Fund Aid Scheme.

5. UIF registered-: This means the applicant is a recipient or eligible for Unemployment Insurance Fund benefit.

6. Gov payroll registered-: This means the applicant is already employed by the government.

7. Age outside range-: This means the applicant does not qualify for the grant due to not meeting the age requirement.

8. Referred link risk mobile-: This means a fraudulent application has been received from this cell phone number.

9. Referred safps-: This means the client is registered as a perpetrator of fraud with the South African Fraud Prevention service.
