Applying for your Sassa SRD R350 and being rejected can be devastating. Knowing that you have been rejected off where you get your source of income because of job loss is not a pleasant experience someone would want to be in.

There have been thousands of South Africans who have filed complaints concerning their SRD R350 application being rejected.

As South African Social Security Agency has devised a new way on how to reapply for your SRD R350 grant after your initial application has been declined or rejected.

According to SASSA the appeal can only be done within 30 days after being rejected, but it should not exceed 90 days. Also, after appealing the Independent Tribunal for social Assistance Appeal will revert to you the applicant within a period of 60-90 days from filing the appeal.

How To Appeal For SRD R350 grant?

Before you can have a successful appeal please note that you will need to have internet access to do the appeal, appeals can’t be done through any social media channel like Whatsapp or Facebook.

This step-by-step approach will guide you on a successful Sassa SRD R350 grant;

STEP 1: Visit the appeal site https://srd.dsd.gov.za/appeals/.

STEP 2: Tap on the green bar showing ” Click here to lodge or check appeal status”.

STEP 3: Type in the ID and the cell phone number which you used for the application for the grant.

STEP 4: After filling in the information press ‘SEND PIN‘ and a verification code will be sent through sms.

STEP 5: Enter the pin and press ‘submit.

STEP 6: Select the month you are reapplying for.(If you are applied for only one month, it will show the month already and also show you the reason for your decline.)

STEP 7: Please select the ‘drop down’ arrow to choose the reason for your application. Kindly select one of the reasons on the list.

STEP 8: Finally press ‘submit‘ then you’re done.

You can also only appeal if your application was declined anytime from April 2022 onwards.
