Requirements for SASSA War Veterans grant

Means Test For SASSA War Veterans Grant

An applicant needs to pass the SASSA Means Test before he or she can be approved to receive the War Veterans grant. This Means test is done to evaluate the income and assets of the applicant which will determine whether they qualify for the grant or not.

Applicants who are single must earn R 78 120 or less a year, any amount above this disqualifies you to receive the grant. Married applicants must earn more than a combined income of R156 240 a year.

The War Veterans Grant which was initially R2 010 as at October 2022 was increased to R2 100 as at (April 1 2023) and R2 110(October 1 2023). So there is a R90 and R10 increment respectively.
